Born in Tokyo, Japan, Francesca Amfitheatrof has lived in Tokyo, Rome, Moscow, London and New York. Her cosmopolitan career, which inspires her creations and personal style, is imbued with art, culture and travel. A graduate of the Chelsea College of Art & Design, Central St Martins and the Royal College of Art, Francesca Amfitheatrof’s debut silverware collection was shown at Jay Jopling’s White Cube contemporary art gallery in London in 1993. Since 1995, she has lent her creative vision to accessory and jewellery collections for different brands, such as Tiffany & Co. In April 2018, Francesca Amfitheatrof was appointed Artistic Director of Watches and Jewellery at Louis Vuitton, a House she has a close affinity with thanks to their shared values of savoir-faire and travel. Her style and creativity combined with precious elements shape the striking identity of Louis Vuitton’s jewellery collections.At the end of 2018 the House unveiled B Blossom, Francesca Amfitheatrof’s first jewellery collection for Louis Vuitton. Giving pride of place to an unprecedented interpretation of the iconic Monogram flower, created by Georges Vuitton in 1896, the collection was daringly reimagined in the guise of a stylish spherical stamp blending sophistication with playfulness. In July 2019 Francesca Amfitheatrof designed Riders of the Knights, a high jewellery collection inspired by medieval heroines who surpassed themselves to forge their own destiny. LV Volt, a new emblematic jewellery collection created in 2020 was soon joined by Amfitheatrof’s second high jewellery collection for Louis Vuitton, Stellar Times, a dazzling and contemporary odyssey of jewellery.
