Matt Olson works on projects related to art, design, architecture, and the landscape through his studio OOIEE (Office of Interior Establishing Exterior). OOIEE embraces an 'open practice' based on a sprawling set of interests. Their work has been shown in galleries and museums internationally and resides in the permanent collection of the Walker Art Center as well as many esteemed private collections. Olson was an artist-in-residence at the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation and was formerly Co-Founder of RO/LU.
About the project
"I used a Yves Klein Blue-like spray paint on the top of the box and wearing a GoPro to film it, I painted from 1 to 200. By the time I got to 15, the numbers were no longer legible and became a pool of blue. I like thinking about the ways in which time and histories do something similar."
