About the project

"An acrylic painted trunk with 200 handmade ceramic rice bowls for Mr. Louis Vuitton’s 200th birthday. It all started with a dream that I had with the flower of Hong Kong - the bauhinia - and 200 rice bowls. I merged the two images to create a love letter for both Louis Vuitton and Hong Kong, embracing both of its heritage and creativity. Rice bowls have placed such a bed rock foundation for Asian culinary culture. This basic expression of having both hands clasped together, to cherish and receive, signifies sincerity and humbleness; delicate and gratitude; nourishing the body and soul. From me with love."
