"The inspiration for the work was Louis Vuitton’s 300 mile, two year odyssey in 1835 at the age of 13, from Anchay in the heavily wooded Jura region of France to Paris. An animated journey into a magical wood, a fantasy in celebration of this epic undertaking reminiscent of folklore, fairytales and cuckoo clocks. Accompanying the animation is a series of photographs, placing the LV 037 box in the Devils Den woods of Connecticut, USA which surround my studio where the animation was created."
